An experienced executive with progressive career growth in supply chain area for over 24 years, Sarves Peri brings technical competencies, global perspectives, strategic thinking, organizational development methodologies and continuous improvement mindset to Meraki Warrior clients.
Peri has built supply chain function and underlying processes at TIC Gums, resulting in sustainable sourcing of key raw materials globally while at the same time optimizing the overall costs, working capital and improving responsiveness.
He brings unique global perspectives for operations management through his leadership experiences in North America, EMEA, South America, and APAC. Peri has broad knowledge in procurement strategies, export/import logistics, execution and risk management.
He has demonstrated strong background and expertise in continuous improvement directly aimed at results impacting the company’s bottom line. Through robust processes, lean techniques, statistical methods and six sigma approaches, Peri led high impact teams and delivered step change improvement in the areas of operational excellence and quality improvement.
Key accomplishments include:
(a) successful cost reduction initiatives resulting 6-10% savings,
(b) procurement initiatives resulting in 14% savings in raw materials sourcing,
(c) overall shareholder value creation in excess of $100 million and
(d) step change improvements in customer responsiveness
Peri is passionate about people development and continuous improvement. He coaches and mentors individuals and provides guidance on best practice sharing, leveraging external resources and improving skills through continuing education. He provides consulting help to organizations with problem solving and systemic solutions. A member of several professional organizations, he frequently speaks at various symposia and conferences.
Peri began his career in R&D with National Starch & Chemical, a division of Unilever, and subsequently ICI, Akzo Nobel and Ingredion, where he focused his efforts in new product development, process optimization and led the company’s efforts in optimizing supply chains using advanced techniques resulting in significant improvements in capacity utilization and working capital.
Peri holds a master’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology, a doctoral degree from State University of New York, Buffalo in Chemical Engineering field and MBA in Finance and Operations from Stern School of Business, New York University. He is also a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from University of North Florida Center for Quality.
